Cairo - Pyramids, Memphis & Sakkara

After breakfast,you will enjoy a full-day tour exploring the treasures of Ancient Egypt. Start with a visit to the world-renowned Pyramids of Giza, including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the largest of the three pyramids and the only remaining monument of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, built entirely by manual labor. Continue to the Pyramid of Chephren, the best preserved of the pyramids, and the Pyramid of Mycerinus. Nearby, witness the legendary Sphinx, a magnificent statue carved from natural rock, featuring the body of a lion and a human head, standing as a timeless symbol of Egypt.Proceed to the Papyrus Institute to learn about the ancient techniques of papermaking, followed by shopping time at the Papyrus Museum, Perfume Factory, and Jewelry Shop. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Later, visit Sakkara, located approximately 27 km from Cairo, famous for the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, considered a key milestone in the evolution of pyramid construction. Continue to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom, where you will see the impressive statue of Ramesses II, reflecting the city’s historical importance. Alexandria Tour

After breakfast,enjoy a full-day tour to Alexandria via the desert road. Upon arrival, visit Pompey’s Pillar, a towering granite column from the Roman period, and explore the Kom El-Shuqafa Catacombs, dating back to the 1st and 2nd centuries, renowned for their unique blend of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman art.Continue to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the modern revival of the ancient Library of Alexandria, dedicated to scholarship and cultural exchange and housing multiple museums and institutions. Proceed to the historic Qaitbay Citadel (viewed from outside), a Mamluk fortress built in 1480 on the site of the legendary Alexandria Lighthouse. Visit the beautiful Montazah Gardens, a vast landscaped park surrounding the former royal palace, offering stunning views and serene surroundings.Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Cairo City Tour

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day tour with a visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, home to one of the world’s most extensive collections of ancient artifacts. Established in 1835 and housed in a neoclassical building, the museum displays over 120,000 objects ranging from the prehistoric era to the Greco-Roman period. Explore the ground floor galleries featuring monumental statues, and the upper floor showcasing smaller artifacts, royal jewels, and the treasures of Tutankhamun, along with a photography section and library. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.Later, proceed to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), the first museum of its kind in the Arab world, offering a comprehensive journey through Egyptian civilization from prehistory to modern times, highlighting both tangible and intangible heritage.Continue with a short drive to the historic Citadel of Cairo, followed by a visit to the iconic Mohamed Ali Mosque (Alabaster Mosque), renowned for its Ottoman architecture and panoramic views over the city. Conclude the day with a visit to the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaar, where you will have free time to explore its vibrant alleyways, traditional shops, and historic atmosphere.
